I don't think I've ever written about the "gnome" before -- but he is one of Calvin's friends. When Grandmary was visiting in October, she and he would go to see the gnome quite often and put flowers into his basket. Baba and Poohpah have the same gnome and when he saw it today (December 18!) at their house, he was quite excited to visit it.
