Sunday Fun at the Park

We took Kacie to the nearest playground in Golden Gate Park on Sunday. It was a gorgeous day. I think this is the first time she has played in the sand. Daddy kept her from eating it. She seemed to love to feel it between her toes!

After swinging and playing in the sand, we sat on the blanket for a bit. Kacie stood by herself for the first time ever! She did it a couple of times...but only for a few seconds each. This isn't the best picture but you can kind of see. However, she is not so fond of me now when I try to get her to practice this. So I have given up for a bit. :)

We also stopped to see the ducks in the lake on our way home. Please excuse how mommy looks; she was/is sick!

In case you are wondering what the scar on her eye is...yes, Kacie took a dive forward and skid(ed?) on the rug -- which caused an abrasion. The first day it was just a little red but now a scab has formed. As of today, it seems to be falling off. However, as she is somewhat sick and tired, she is quite accident prone and has had a few more bumps and bruises since then! (Today she tried to crawl over the bar on the bottom of her high chair and teeter-tottered until she bonked her forehead on the hardwood floor.) Good grief. But I digress---here you can see the scab as well as the ducks we were looking at.
