We talked for months beforehand about Kacie's birthday being on December 8th. Unsolicited, for the most part, she explained almost daily that she wanted to have a "pink Princess party." I tried in almost every which way to convince her of an alternative to no avail. So we decided that "dreams really do come true" -- and gave in. There were 7 little girls and 3 little boys who came - along with their families. Kacie, was, of course, dressed as Sleeping Beauty... and I think she had quite a fun time.
Carrying in some of her presents...

Some special princesses came to the party too. Teta P dressed up as Cinderella and Teta Meesh was Princess Aurora (aka Sleeping Beauty). Luckily, Cinderella's costume was part of the SPF Beach Camp costume attire...but we did have to hunt down a Sleeping Beauty costume (which Neal found for a great deal!)

At one point during the party, after some games and "princess tea" and before cake and ice cream, I spotted Kacie sitting at the table by herself. Kind of funny; kind of sad? Just enjoying herself, I guess. Note the cake on the counter...Kacie's friend, Emma's mommy, Katrina (who is also a childhood friend of Michelle's) graciously made the cake! A pink castle with vanilla cake with oreo cookie pudding filling. Gorgeous, perfect, and yummy!

Some big and little princesses together...

Playing one of the games...kind of a mix between Simon Says and Freeze Dance!

Cinderella teaching the princes and princesses how to "Flip, Set, Press" their napkins into their lap.

Tea and "tea cakes"

The Sleeping Beauties dancing together...

Thanks again to the Tetas for all of their "entertainment" and to everyone else who came, contributed, and enjoyed. Let's hope we don't have to do Princess again next year!
