So, we decided, for this year, on just (our) aunts/uncles and (our) first cousins and 2 of Kacie's friends and their families, and as it was, we had over 50 people here. We had a few games for all of the cousins and the theme was "Bubbles and Balls."
We do think Kacie had fun as she keeps talking about that day...but the expression on her face (throughout the day) was more of a "what the heck is going on" expression. And very matter-of-fact. Not so joyful. Oh well.

"Who's birthday is it?" (Before the party begins, Kacie *enjoys* the bubble machine.)

Yes, we ran out of time and bought a cake from the store.

Daddy and Grandmary (aka Damma)
Daddy was in San Francisco for a conference on Kacie's actual birthday so we invited Baba and Poohpah over to have "meatballs" with us. Grandma Mary was here too. (She made the meatball dinner!)
Kacie doesn't seem to be such a fan of cake (Neal couldn't even bribe her with her favorite, raisins, to get her to try it!); so we made her muffins instead.
