I am also going to jot a few notes so that I can refer to them later for her babybook!
Kacie still doesn't really say anything. She is starting to worry me. She does say "mama" when we ask her to but not really otherwise and used to say "dada" all the time but doesn't really do that anymore. She thinks/tries to say dog but it sounds more like "do(g)" (i.e. daw). She also tries to say words like "star" and other things that she sees but they really don't like much like the word. No hi. No bye. She does say "cheeez" sort of. And she doesn't say anything with a "b" sound...which we've been trying to work on (baby, baba, bye...)

She can/tries to sign a few words but not usually to tell us she wants that thing---unless we ask her. The signs include: milk, more (index fingers touching), friend, please, bath, baby, hat, all done, cheese, ...(trying to think of what else).
She can sort of scribble with a crayon but prefers to eat them.
She does understand a LOT (or so it seems). I can pretty much tell her to go get anything (that she/we know about) and she will...although it takes her a little while and sometimes she gets distracted. She always points to the armoire where the cd player is and wants me to play music.
She eats pretty well most of the time although she is kind of picky. Some days she will love foods and other days not. One morning she eats a ton of blueberries and the next day she won't touch them. Same thing with oatmeal, spinach, beet greens, carrots, fish, even chicken, etc. So weird. Some favorites are baba's chicken soup (with carrots, celery, chicken and mini pasta stars), cheese (will ALWAYS eat cheese), pears, apples, bread, eggs, (need to think of what else!) :)
Kacie loves to carry her baby around with her. She also loves and sleeps with her blanket, Millie the Monster...and still sleeps in her pink outfit.
Maybe more later.
